If you’ve been thinking about buying a highvis jacket for your outdoor activity - maybe you’re a cyclist, runner, dog walker, commuter or generally like to get out and about for a daily walk - you might be wondering which of our highvis jackets to choose. We’ve got two fantastic styles, both of which come in standard and womens fit, depending on the type of cut and fit you prefer.
Here’s a little overview of why you might choose each of the different versions of our highvis jackets.
Let’s look at the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket first. The main difference between this and the BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket is the inclusion of bright fabric, alongside the reflective panels. This may make the decision easier for you depending whether you are after some daytime highvis or not.
As mentioned, the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket comes in a standard fit and womens fit. Standard sizes range from XS to XXXL, with the womens fit available in sizes 8 - 14. We’re currently looking into expanding the range of sizes available in the womens fit - do get in touch if you’re after a size not currently available as we’re keen to get sizes to suit all of our customers.
If you decide the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket is for you, it may be an easy decision between the standard and the womens cut. But another deciding factor between the womens and standard fit are the different colours available. The standard fit comes in yellow, orange and mid-blue. The ladies fit also comes in yellow, as well as pink and a lighter blue. All feature the fantastic reflective panels.
Comparing the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacketwith the BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket the main difference, as mentioned previously, is the inclusion of brightly coloured fabric. This fabric can help you to stand out in the day time, perhaps when people are not using headlights or street lights are not yet lit. The BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket comes into its own when used in lowlights, during the evening and night time. It’s a handy jacket to add a layer in the daytime being more subtle visually than the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket. Subtle, of course, can be both wanted and unwanted, depending on your needs and preferences!
Like the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket, the BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket comes in both standard and womens fit. The womens fit is available in 8-14 (UK sizing) and the standard fit in S-XL.
So what other differences might help you make your decision as to which highvis jacket is best for you?
Both jackets have a good selection of pockets. The BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket has three external pockets and one mesh internal pocket. The BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket has one external chest fleece lined pocket and two side pockets.
Both the jackets are mesh lined, and feature a back air vent, for keeping you cool. Because the BTR High Visibility Reflective Cycling & Running Jacket incorporates the coloured fabric, it’s a little more breathable than the BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket (the fully reflective fabric isn’t breathable).
Similarly, both jackets have elasticated cuffs and waist, for added comfort when running, walking, cycling, riding or however you move around your neighbourhood! Additionally, the BTR Be Totally Reflective HighVis Reflective Jacket has a soft lined neck.
Both jackets offer great high visibility features, alongside comfort and fantastic value for money. Admittedly it might be a difficult decision to decide which one is for you and, if you really can’t decide, why not go for both?!
